The Supremacy of Christ: The Things Above
May 16, 2021 • Brian Zahnd
The Ascension of Christ is not about the absence of Christ but about the exaltation of Christ to the right hand of God — his promotion to the Oval Office of the Universe. Our King is not on Palatine Hill or Pennsylvania Avenue, our King is enthroned in the heavens.
Christ descended to the dead and ascended to the heavens that he might fill all things everywhere with himself and bring salvation to the Cosmos. The Ascension of Christ means that Christ has filled time and space with his presence and is accessible to everyone.
