Ordinary Time 2023: Agents of Healing

We live in angry and mean-spirited age—a volatile age that perpetuates rage. The heroes of this inflammatory age are often those most skilled in rhetorical evisceration. Our angry age applauds those who can most viciously put down their opponents. This is the current zeitgeist, the spirit of the age—but it’s not the Holy Spirit. Jesus sends us out to be healers not crusaders.
