Search and Rescue

In the story of Zacchaeus, we see the search and rescue mission of the Son of Man. Jesus didn’t come to condemn sinners, he came to search for and rescue those who are lost. People can lose their way in life and end up a person they were never meant to be. We can blame and condemn them, or we can mount a search and rescue mission. When people get lost in the mountains they’ve made some kind of mistake, but we still go out and try to find them. This is the story of Jesus and Zacchaeus.
