Congregational Care

As we are living life together on The Journey, we want to take care of each other in times of difficulty and sickness. We also want to rejoice with one another in times of celebration like with the birth of a new baby or a wedding. Here are some of the ways we can care for one another:

Celebrate Recovery (CR)
CR is a small-group-based support ministry for those on The Journey looking for encouragement to overcome the difficulties of life. We meet on Wednesday nights in the Life Center from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m.

Christian Counseling
Pam Keefer is a retired counselor who can provide a listening ear, encouragement, and guidance to adults and children who are at least 16 years old. [Click here to learn more about Christian Counseling at WOLC.] If you would like to set up an appointment with her, please email

Divorce/Relationship Recovery
This small group-based ministry meets for 12 weeks on an ongoing basis for those looking for support after a divorce or relationship break-up.

Personal Ministry
We have pastors and trained volunteers at Word of Life Church who are available to provide confidential, one-on-one ministry for people going through a difficult time.

Hospital and Home Visitation
Our pastoral and volunteer care teams regularly visit those who are in the hospital or unable to attend one of our worship services. If you or a family member has a scheduled surgery or an unexpected hospitalization, please let us know so we can visit you.

Baby Dedication
We dedicate babies during our Sunday morning worship service upon request. To register your child for Baby Dedication, please fill out the form below.

Weddings and Funerals
If you would be interested in holding a wedding or funeral service at Word of Life Church, please contact the church office at 816-233-6367 for more information.

Prayer Requests
Requests for prayer can be submitted by calling the church office or by filling out a Prayer Request form. Forms are located on the back of the pews in The Sanctuary and by the offering box in The Upper Room. You can also submit your prayer request online by filling out the form below.
