Dear Christian Pilgrim,
Let us take 40 days to meditate on the crucial events in the life of Jesus during the Holy Week as we embark on our 40 day Lenten journey towards Easter. Lent is a season of identifying with sufferings of Christ through fasting, repentance, moderation, and renewed emphasis on spiritual disciplines like Scripture reading. These biblical meditations begin with the Triumphal Entry and take us to Holy Saturday - the silent day of sorrow before the celebration of Easter Sunday. Most of the meditations surround events related to the sorrows and sufferings of Christ. Sundays are omitted, because every Sunday is the Lord's Day and is the day to celebrate the Resurrection. If you will join us in these 40 Meditations on the Holy Week during this season of Lent, I believe the Holy Spirit will lead you into a deeper understanding of what it means to be a follower of Christ and will prepare you to enter into a greater experience of the hope and joy found in the Easter Resurrection.
