Word of Life Church is led by Pastor Brian and Peri Zahnd in Saint Joseph, Missouri, about 30 minutes North of Kansas City. We are a non-denominational Christian church, which simply means that we are governed by our own elders, not by an outside organization.
Life can be messy.
Living in this fallen world can hurt. Pain touches our lives daily through illness, abuse, financial woes, betrayal, and chaos of all kinds. It is the goal of Word of Life Church to help individuals and families to find God and goodness in this broken world.
A huge part of living the Christian life is involved in giving of yourself, to others, to your community, and to your church. At Word of Life Church, we expect all of our members to be actively involved, and we offer an enormous number of ways for you to give back.
Membership at Word of Life Church consists of more than just showing up for worship on Sunday mornings. We want all of our members to be connected on a more individual level, making friendships and personal connections with others journeying through life. We know that in a large church settings, it’s easy to get lost in the numbers, but have a variety of groups for people of all ages and backgrounds.
We have more than just Sunday morning services. There’s something going on at Word of Life Church just about every hour of the day, 7 days a week. While we don’t expect anyone to be involved in everything, we’d love to encourage you to find a small group or event that you can participate in.
